Tide House

An arrival, with room to breathe.

Fictional business. Imagined brief. Original illustrations.
No client relationship or measured business results.

01 / The brief

Start with the business.

We imagined a sheltered marina with short-stay and seasonal berths. In the fictional old-site brief, rates, dock rules and arrival details competed on the first screen. The useful information was there. The reason to spend a weekend was missing.

02 / The angle

A place to tie up. A reason to stay.

Start with the pace of a day on the water, then make the practical next step obvious. Calm is useful here: a visitor can imagine the stay and still find how to ask about a berth.

03 / The decisions

Nothing here by accident.

Aa &

Marcellus

Marcellus carries the measured rhythm of lettering on a harbor chart. Its open capitals let the name feel settled rather than hurried. Short labels give the practical information a second, quieter voice.

Colour from the material.

The pale green ground comes from imagined light on still water. Deep marine blue is reserved for type and small rules. It keeps the navigation clear without introducing a bright leisure-brand palette.

A layout that belongs.

The Harbor family uses a framed waterside view rather than an industrial wall of imagery. Wide margins and a low visual pace alternate with the berth information. The invitation to inquire stays close.

The image sequence.

Original vector scenes show a dock, rigging and a harbor approach. The picture sequence moves from arrival to detail to the wider water. A live marina would need its own permitted berth, approach and shoreside photographs; none of these illustrations represents a real location.

04 / The result

The whole front door.

A slower, lighter front door that balances the feeling of a stay with a practical berth inquiry. No booking or traffic results are claimed for this fictional business.
