What does a custom website include?
Up to five agreed core pages, layouts for phone and desktop, editing of permitted copy and photos, a basic contact route and two revision rounds. Every build includes search-ready titles and descriptions, business structured data, a sitemap and fast, mobile-first design.
Do you use templates?
No. Every site is designed for one business, from the first line. Your work, words and photographs give us the direction. We choose type, colour and layout around that material, rather than asking you to fill a preset design. The fictional studies show how those choices change with each brief.
How does the free preview work?
We design your new website first. You pay only if you love it. Submit your business name, website and email using the preview form. We will email your private preview within 2 business days. No card and no purchase obligation.
When do I pay?
The $2,000 build payment is due only after you approve the finished site in writing, and before launch. Care starts at launch, from $100/month. The founding build rate is $1,200 for the first five clients, subject to availability and separate written case-study permission.
What if the preview does not feel right?
The free preview has no purchase obligation. Two revision rounds are included. If you do not approve the finished site, the project ends with no build charge and no launch.
How long does a build take?
We target the first full-site review within five business days of complete intake and confirmed scope. Your content, feedback and access affect timing. We agree the launch date by email, and launch only after written approval.
Who owns the website?
Ownership of custom files transfers after the full build payment. An export is included. Third-party licences still apply.
What does Care Plus add?
Care is $100/month and includes hosting, monthly site and contact-route checks, and 30 minutes of small edits. Care Plus is $250/month. It adds a Google Business Profile tune-up with your access and approval, quarterly content refresh, a review-request page and a monthly report. Both start at launch.
Will the site rank first on Google?
We build the foundations: clear titles and descriptions, LocalBusiness structured data for your business, a sitemap, fast loading and mobile-first design. Care Plus adds a Google Business Profile tune-up. Rankings, traffic and sales are not guaranteed.
Are these real client case studies?
No. Ember Metalworks, Tide House and Rowan & Rail are fictional concept studies with original illustrations and imagined briefs. The cabinetmaking comparison is also an illustrative design exercise. These demonstrate design choices, not client results. Real work will appear only with separate written client permission.
Can I keep my domain and email?
Yes. Your domain stays in your account. We use delegate invitations or limited access and preserve email records. Domains, email hosting, paid tools, custom features and applicable taxes are separate from the website price.
Do you use AI?
Yes, for parts of research, drafting, code and checks. A person remains responsible for factual review and final approval. We do not invent reviews or present illustrations as photographs of your work.
How do we work together?
Everything happens by email, from your preview request to final written approval. You provide confirmed business details and assets you have permission to use. Please do not send passwords, payment details or recovery codes.
Can I cancel Care?
Care and Care Plus can be cancelled by email before renewal. Service continues through the paid period. Unused edit time does not roll over.
